Lost in Another World

This is my entry for the Lost in Another World Contest eledhwen-stock.deviantart.com/… And it should have looked better. I did it quite in a haste, because I've got assignments pressing me, but I had this idea and just HAD to do it.

Your first thought would be... Wow! So why is the demon girl crying? Everything around her is so beautiful. She might as well open her eyes and see what lies beyond the hateful world she knows. Well, there's a reason for that. It's all about being in your comfort zone, to be around what you know. And sometimes when meeting with something, which is different, even for the best, you're all of a sudden full of suspicion. Full of fear. You think that somewhere along the way there's a trap. I feel exactly like that every day I hang out with the awesome people from my work. They're all laughing, smiling, cracking jokes, and I'm observing from the shadow, not willing to approach them. This is pretty much how the demon girl is feeling. I'm not saying that for the sake of safety we should never explore anything new. But I'm thinking that it's always to have the chance to leap back into the comfort zone when you decide you need to and to leave the explorations for another day!
